The intuitive touchscreen controls makes it easy to navigate through all the features of this power-packed phone, which also includes a 2-megapixel camera that can be used with AT&T's Video Share service, multi-format digital audio player, and downloadable games. Other features include Bluetooth connectivity for communication headsets and stereo music streaming, microSD memory expansion (up to 4 GB), FM radio, access to email and instant messaging, and up to 3 hours of talk time.

AT&T Service Options
This AT&T phone can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T's 3G mobile broadband data network, which is available in most major metropolitan areas. The AT&T 3G network uses the dual-band UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900 MHz network (also known as WCDMA), making it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless multimedia services with speeds up to 3.6 Mbps. It also gives AT&T the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services.

The LG Vu also features Bluetooth stereo music streaming, MicroSD expansion (up to 4 GB), and an FM radio.
In areas where the 3G network is not available, you'll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. Providing average data speeds between 75-135Kbps, it's fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services, including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go. With 3G connectivity, you'll be able to access AT&T's Video Share service, which enables you to send a live, one-way video stream to another compatible phone during a standard voice call. The service also allows you to switch the direction of the video stream during the same phone call. (Customers must be in an area served by the company's 3G network and have a Video Share-enabled phone.)

You get access to AT&T Mobile Music, which enables you to buy tracks while on the go, access the Napster and eMusic subscription music services, stream music video, discover what's playing with Music ID song-recognition software, and find out what's hot with The Buzz music news portal. And it has a built-in web browser for MEdia Net downloads and mobile web browsing. AT&T's MEdia Net service enables you to receive and send emails, read news headlines, get weather updates, download games and ringtones, and more.

Note that if you want to enjoy the full audio and video capabilities of your UMTS phone, be sure to select a MEdia Max service plan option during checkout. If you do not sign up for a MEdia Max service plan option, you will be paying per KB when you use the over-the-air UMTS audio and video features on your phone (upwards of $10 per minute).

Sony Ericsson G900i

The Sony Ericsson G900i lets consumers frame their shot and decide where they want to focus the camera by simply touching the screen. With Camera Multi-Shot, users can just hold down the camera key and take as many pictures as they like. Scroll through photos on the phone with touch control and edit them there with the touch photo album and editor. The G900i can also access favorite web pages in a Wi-Fi hotspot and view them on the large 2.4-inch display. Using the stylus or the finger, the G900i can zoom-in or pan around the page. RSS feeds direct to the phone provide the latest updates; news, football scores.

The Sony Ericsson G900i is a new style smartphone from the Swedish manufacturer. The main focus of the handset is the 5.0 megapixel camera. This is the first smartphone from Sony Ericsson to include a 5.0 megapixel camera. The camera is equipped with autofocus, pretty much a necessity in any camera phone that has any desire to be taken seriously as a competitive imaging device to standalone digital cameras. There is also a flash facility, and an image stabiliser, to help out with those whose hand is not so steady.

The Sony Ericsson G900i is a smartphone, although not marketed as such, to appeal to a wider audience. The handset suns on the Symbian UIQ operating system, an open operating system that allows end users to add additional functionality with the addition of third party software. Mobiles.co.uk has a software shop where you can buy software for your UIQ phone.

The screen of the phone is a large 2.4 inch TFT touchscreen, supporting up to 256,000 colours. The Sony G900i is a 3G mobile phone, with additional support for WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0, including A2DP support. This allows you to listen to your favourite tunes from the phones music player, with a compatible wireless headset. No wires, no tangle, no mess.

The touchscreen of the phone has icons designed to be used with the finger, and it also comes supplied with a stylus, so you can use the handwriting recognition software to enter data into the phone.

Other features include the excellent Track ID application. Track ID simply works by recording a snippet of a song and uploading this to a website, which will recognise the song, tag it, and send you information on the song, artist, album, and where you can buy these from. All for free (bar a few bytes of data sending the track snippet over.) LG Electronics has just announced its plans to launch the LG Viewty or LG KU990. The LG KU990 is LG's first professional level, high end camera phone. LG mobile has made several innovative designs when it comes to mobile handsets and has already made a buzz with their Black Label series which includes the LG Prada and LG Chocolate mobile phones. The company is now expanding their mobile phone products by introducing high feature phones and the LG KU990 is the first handset to be launched under the company's high feature phone category.

LG chose the name, LG KU990 to sum up what the phone can do best; viewing and sharing high quality photos. Viewing and sharing photos is made possible because of the LG KU990's large LCD touch screen display.

Specifications

The LG KU990 sports the same glossy, black design of the LG Prada and could very well be the second version of the LG Prada but only with 3G and without the Prada branding.

Connectivity options with the LG Viewty include USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. It features a morphing keypad that only shows the relevant keys in various modes, a wide variety of music file format compatibility, and wireless Bluetooth stereo music streaming. And it includes new Motorola design innovations, including ModeShift technology for moving from phone to music mode with the touch of a single button and the FastScroll navigation wheel for quickly accessing both your music and contact libraries.

Motorola ROKR E8

This phone also features an internal 2 GB memory, MicroSD memory expansion for up to 4 GB of additional memory, 2.0-megapixel camera/camcorder, and an airplane mode that allows you to play uninterrupted music while flying or when you don't want to be interrupted by incoming calls.

The ROKR E8 has a morphing keypad and touch sensors that change to dedicated phone, music, and imaging functions.
T-Mobile Service
This phone operates on GSM 850/1900 networks and can handle high-speed data connectivity via T-Mobile's EDGE network (which stands for "Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution"). This high-speed, mobile data and Internet access technology is fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services (with average data speeds between 75-135Kbps), including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.

It's compatible with T-Mobile's myFaves service, which allows you to call up to five of your most common contacts--on any network, even landlines--without using any of your minutes. Learn more about myFaves from T-Mobile.

Download cool new games, HiFi Ringers (real songs by today's hottest artists), MegaTones (instrumental versions of songs), and wallpapers quickly, as well as stay connected via the Web, instant messaging, and email.

Phone Features
The ROKR E8 provides you the freedom to access music from a wide variety of sources, whether it's music you've purchased from online stores or from subscription services. It's compatible with Windows Media Player 11, and it access to more than 200 online music stores and simple drag-and-drop organizing of songs, artists, albums and playlists. The phone also includes a built-in FM radio (optional headphones must be plugged in) and a Song ID feature that recognizes and displays tune information (not available in all areas; additional charges may apply).

In music mode, the ROKR E8 delivers great sound through a three-dimensional stereo feature that enhances two-channel audio and an on-board equalizer. Share music with friends over the built-in speaker, use a favorite set of standard stereo wired headphones using the 3.5 mm headset jack. This phone also provides Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity with the A2DP Bluetooth profile, enabling you to stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones or speaker dock.

Enjoy your favorite music with 2 GB of internal storage, MicroSD expansion, and stereo Bluetooth streaming.
A perfect blend of art and science, the face of the E8 is a sleek, seamless panel that features the first haptic touchpad from Motorola, which provides vibrating, tactile feedback. Using breakthrough ModeShift technology from Motorola, the E8 presents you with only the controls you need, at the time you need them--instantly transforming from music player to phone to imaging device with the touch of a button. When powered off, the surface of ROKR E8 shows no visible keys. Power on the device and it presents a virtual numbered keypad on the front surface. Press the virtual music key, and the phone keypad disappears and and is replaced by control keys for the music player (play, pause, fast forward and rewind). Using innovative vibrating haptics technology, the device provides the tactile feedback you expect from a traditional keypad, providing confirmation they have pressed a virtual key.

The ROKR E8 also marks the debut of Motorola's new FastScroll navigation wheel, a variable-speed touch control that lets you easily scroll through all of the content stored on the device. With a gentle slide of the thumb, the wheel quickly scrolls through your music (music mode), contacts (phone mode), calendar (phone mode), or multimedia (imaging mode) content.

The ROKR E8 follows the RAZR2 in offering Motorola's CrystalTalk technology, an innovative feature that automatically accounts for background noise during a call and adjusts the audio quality based on ambient noise conditions to provide the optimal conversational experience. CrystalTalk also reduces the volume of the background noise picked up by the microphone during a call, making it possible to be more easily heard over the phone while in a noisy environment.

The 2-megapixel camera includes an 8x digital zoom and it provides four resolution choices (from 320 x 240 to 1600 x 1200 pixels). It also features a multi-shot mode, self-timer, free memory space indicator, color effects, and multiple shutter sounds (including silent). The phone also includes an impressive video camcorder, providing up to QCIF resolution (176 x 144 pixels) at 15 fps (frames per second. You can record video for as long as you have available space on your MicroSD memory card (up to 4 GB in size).
